Topaz was released after 78 days in our care.

Topaz has been moved to one of the largest pre-release pools that he now shares with lots of friends. He's a big boy now!
Topaz has already been moved to a pre-release pool where he is joining Beryl, Garnet and Tanzanite. He has made himself at home in his own little corner on the far site of the pool, and he went for a quick swim several times when we checked in on him.
Topaz is eating fish on his own! He took a while to figure out how to turn each fish the right way, but he managed it all by himself, without help from staff. Well done, Topaz!
Well, we'd love to say he's graduated from fish school, but Topaz is having none of it. But he's still little... and there's still time. He'll get there!
Topaz is learning to eat fish. Well, he's trying! So far he doesn't seem to be too impressed by this new addition to his diet. But in a couple of days from now, hopefully, he'll have learned what it takes. Once released, he'll have to find his own fish... and those won't be waiting as patiently as this freshly thawed herring...
