Shell-en has been upgraded again, this time to a bigger pre-release pool where she's with even more harbour seal pups as she works on her 'hunting' skills...
It seems like Shell-en can't get enough of her new "big girl pool". She's' currently learning how to compete for food with other seal pups.
Shell-en is tiny and weighed only 6.65 when she was admitted, but she's alert and curious and seems to be doing well. She is being fed a milk formula, and she should start gaining weight quickly.
Thank you Vancouver Animal Rescue Center.
Shell-en is a lucky little girl. Hope she progresses and recovers totally.
She looks like she has really grown in a month. How much does she weigh now?
Shell-en is the absolute cutest. She is so talented and amazing
