This is a large pre-release pool that houses many patients. Animals that have already demonstrated that they can eat fish on their own are placed in a larger pool like this where they can learn how to compete for fish and socialize with other harbour seals.

Patient Progress

"Training" Pool Big Bay has demonstrated that he is confident eating fish on his own. He has been moved to a small pool that fits up to 3 animals where he can learn how to compete for fish with other harbour seals. He will move to a larger pool once he is confident enough.

Big bay is gaining weight well and is very energetic during swims.

Big Bay has finished weaning and is now in fish school!

Big Bay is now in Stickleback! He’s eating well on her own and is now in a pool where he can learn to socialize and to compete for fish with other individuals.
