Patients that have already demonstrated that they can eat fish on their own are placed in a pool where they can learn how to compete with other animals. This is one of the smaller pools with a haul-out platform in the centre. It can only fit a few animals and is a good starting point for patients that have never been housed with another seal.

"Training" Pool Wizard Islet has demonstrated that he is confident eating fish on his own. He has been moved to a small pool that fits up to 3 animals where he can learn how to compete for fish with other harbour seals. He will move to a larger pool once he is confident enough.

Wizard is gaining weight well on formula!
He is now out of quarantine!
Wizard has completed the weaning process and is now in fish school!
Wizard is now in Coho! Here he’ll be able to learn how to compete and socialize with other animals.
I was there when they picked up this sweet baby. Hope it will grow and get strong so it can be out in the ocean again

I was there too. We were all so worried about this little one and so glad that MMR came to rescue it and answer all our questions too. Thank you! We hope the little one does ok and look forward to any updates.
I was there too and some of us took turns keeping watch over him, as we watched an Eagle doing some fly by!!
