Patient Progress
"Training" Pool BeaverTail has demonstrated that she is confident eating fish on her own. She has been moved to a small pool that fits up to 3 animals where she can learn how to compete for fish with other harbour seals. She will move to a larger pool once she is confident enough.

BeaverTail is doing great and will soon be weaned onto herring!
She seemed okay in the morning when we first found her, but as the day went on, she became slower and more lethargic. I contacted Marine Mammal Rescue and sent them a video of this little cutie. After reviewing it, their veterinarian determined that she needed to be rescued. A team member arrived just 40 minutes later. I am sooo glad she’s doing well :) I visit this site every day for updates and to see how all these little pups are doing.
