Dromedary has made it into a pool! It's a small one, but if he does well, he'll be in a pre-release pool very soon.
Volunteers and practicum students compare Dromedary to a sumo wrestler. She is a very large seal and looks a bit out of place among all her smaller 'friends'. She's still not eating on her own, but once she manages that, it won't take her long to gain enough weight to be released.
Dromedary loves everything about fish ─ except the part where he's supposed to eat it on his own. We're working on that...
Dromedary is still somewhat fish school challenged ─ but he'll get there. Eventually. Hopefully soon...
Dromedary isn't really into fish yet. He'll sniff on it, but he doesn't want to eat it. He's also very agitated during feeds, so staff are gently getting him used to accepting it during feeds.
