Patient Progress

Pre-Release Pool Storm Rock has demonstrated that she is confident eating fish on her own and that she can compete for food with other harbour seals. She has been moved to a larger pool where she can further test and improve her skills. She will move between pools as she progresses further and develops her skills until she reaches her release weight. It can take just a few weeks or several months before a patient is ready for release, depending on health status and treatment plan, weight gain and transport availability.

Patient Updates

Storm is doing well in her rehabilitation so far, loves getting misted on hot days.

Storm has graduated fish school and is now eating successfully on her own! She has joined Henry in the Cali pool for some company, bigger swimming space, and to learn how to compete for fish.

Storm has moved to the Harbour/Ellie pools now that she’s eating quickly and confidently, she’s joined by Eleanor and Henry where they now have two pools to choose from!

Storm is now in Rockfish! She’s grown a lot and is now enjoying more space in the new pool.
