This is a large pre-release pool that houses many patients. Animals that have already demonstrated that they can eat fish on their own are placed in a larger pool like this where they can learn how to compete for fish and socialize with other harbour seals.

Patient Progress

"Training" Pool Garry Point has demonstrated that she is confident eating fish on her own. She has been moved to a small pool that fits up to 3 animals where she can learn how to compete for fish with other harbour seals. She will move to a larger pool once she is confident enough.

Patient Updates

Has settled into comfort tent, where she will receive formula and electrolytes to help her hydrate and gain weight.

Garry is doing well gaining weight on formula!

Garry continues to be an energetic seal and has been moved out of quarantine!

Garry has completed the weaning process and is now in fish school!
