Guestbook for Seaweed

  1. We found this little seal pup at low tide in the seaweed on Beach Grove Beach in Tsawwassen. She was in a high traffic area for beach goers and dog walkers. In this area, the tide goes out for miles and takes many, many hours for the water to return. This was a very precarious position for little “Seaweed” in this area with so many dangers.
So relieved MMR came to the rescue so she may have a chance. Good luck little one!

  2. Hi there- Sounds like the best and appropriate name for you “Seaweed”. So grateful that you were rescued and will be taken good care of. Be well and stay strong Miss cute seal pup.

  3. My husband and 7 year old daughter, Stella, were the ones to find Seaweed. Thank you SO much for the incredible work you do. Stella LOVES animals so much and it was the absolute highlight of our trip to tell others that she had a part in helping to rescue this precious pup!

We would love to hear any updates you have. We will be in Vancouver this coming weekend. Is there any possibility of Stella visiting Seaweed at all?

  4. Seaweed you look so sleepy and happy! Drink your milk and get strong ❤️ at MMR!

  5. Hi Seaweed- Came to check on you and hope you are doing well. I hope you’ve been drinking your milk and are getting bigger and stronger every day. Sending you lots of healthy and positive thoughts. Keep being brave and know that you are loved.
    Get well soon!!

  6. This is a message from my daughter Stella who discovered Seaweed along with my husband on Beach Grove Beach in Tsawwassen:
Seaweed! Thank you for the message! We are so excited to hear that you are in fish school!! We miss you so much! Thank you for rescuing her and taking care of her. We are so grateful!
    Love,
    Stella

  7. I am so happy to hear Seaweed is now living with a friend and continues to learn how to catch fish. Soon she will be back to the ocean where she can be the seal she was meant to be.

  8. Hi cute Seaweed- They posted a cute picture of you on Instagram today so I see you are doing well. It says you are in fish school so I bet you are working really hard to eat your fishes so you can grow bigger and stronger. I know it will be a wonderful adventure when you are released back into the ocean so keep up the good work. Be well and take care adorable seal pup.

  9. I was happy to hear Seaweed was released back into the wild. Thank you so much for all the care and education she received at Marine Mammal Rescue. So thankful you do what you do!
