Meet Bayne! A seal pup born prematurely, still covered in her lanugo coat. She is now at the rescue centre to rest and recover, and is already a staff favourite!
Named after Baynes Sound Oyster Co. who found and reported this pup!
You can help us care for Bayne and the more than 100 marine mammals we rescue, rehabilitate and release every year by symbolically adopting her today with a small donation to the rescue centre.
Milk Matrix Bayne is being fed a milk formula that mimics the milk she would receive from her mother. This formula is high in fat and promotes weight gain. She will eventually be weaned onto fish.

Bayne is doing well and growing stronger every day. She is still holding onto her lanugo coat but we know she'll start shedding it soon!
Wishing Bayne a safe and happy journey growing up.
I’m so excited to watch her grow, and I care so much about her health and safety.
Stay strong, Bayne, love you!
