Patient Updates

Sealy Dan was released after 51 days in our care.

"Sealy Dan was the first to head straight for the ocean; he raced straight for the waves after just a short moment of hesitation. He came back to shore to wait for his 'friend' Okeana, though..."

You can see the list of all animals released at this release in the release record.

Sealy's stay with us has almost come to an end. In a few days, he'll leave the rescue centre to start his new life. Good luck, Sealy!

Sealy has moved on to a pre-release pool. He's still with his old pool mate Focarelli and they're funny to watch together. Around the time we took this picture, Sealy was in the pool a lot, while Focarelli watched him from the rim of the pool, growling at him. If only we spoke Seal...

Sealy is still in his training pool ─ and still loving it.

Sealy has joined a small pool and seems to be getting along with Focarelli, his new pool mate.

Sealy is making rapid progress. He's already eating fish on his own as of yesterday. And he looked rather smug after showing off his fish-eating skills today...

Sealy loooooooves his bath time, and he doesn't want it to end. He's clearly ready for a pool, now he just needs to figure out how to eat fish on his own.

Not only did he get his name today, he's also entered fish pre-school. Well, he's getting weaned onto fish and will soon be in fish school, where he will learn to eat fish on his own.

This little guy loves his swims and showers. And we don't blame him... it's getting hot outside!
